KC’S KRUISERS

KC’s Kruisers provides new or gently used carts and other mobility equipment to all breeds of dogs with a variety of handicaps. KC, a beautiful Pembroke Welsh Corgi who lost her battle with Degenerative Myelopathy in 2017, is the precious angel who represents our mobility program. Her Board Member Momma, Tauni Beckmann, is now managing this program. (You can read more about KC on the Our Inspirations page.)

Eligibility for a cart or other mobility equipment through KC’s Kruisers is based upon the physical need of the dog and the financial need of the owner. Some of the reasons a dog might benefit from a cart include:

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
  • Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
  • Amputee
  • Injured
  • Senior
  • Handicapped

In order to qualify for equipment under KC’s Kruisers, an owner must fill out the KC’s Kruisers application to provide general information about the dog as well as the detailed information necessary to order equipment. Tauni Beckmann will follow up with the applicant, and the dog’s veterinarian may also be contacted to ensure that a cart is the best option. If so a cart will then be provided.

There are several other cart programs available and we strive to have a strong relationship with all of them as well. After all, we are all in this for the same reason, and that is to help the pups!

We are with you as you take this journey…
